The story of Barong Landung is acculturation between Balinese and Chinese cultures. King Jaya Pangus and his wife Kang Cing Wie cursed to become statues due to the behaviour of the king. Their manifestation is called Barong Landung. The queen embodies a beautiful Chinese woman, while the king has a scary face with long fangs.
