The tiny front door of Baker Street Social, cramped between buildings on Jalan Petitenget No. 17C, is overlooked by regular passersby. The legend says the newbies usually have to go back and forth several times before eventually spotting the entrance.
Once you get into the lounge, you’ll be warped to the 20’s. There are various handcrafted cocktails you can have under the dim light of the bar, accompanied by the kind of music which gives an opportunity for people to talk and connect without yelling at each other.

Black Cat Bar

The most distinctive feature of this bar is the interior. The old, retrospective design creates an impression that you are trapped in one of the old Francis Ford Copolla movies where people with robes and fedoras mingle—and Tommy guns under the table.
Though it seems to be ripped straight from the scene of The Godfather, the ambience of this bar is not tense at all. It is relaxing, in fact, thanks to the finely curated music and the perfectly tuned lights. There’s no better bar in Canggu to have a conversation than Black Cat. Visiting this bar is an offer you can’t refuse. Find Black Cat Bar on Jalan Subak, Canggu.

40 Thieves Club

To find this place you need to look up as it is located on the second floor of Jalan Petitenget No. 7. It occupies a rather tiny space. You’ll wonder how so many people can fit in such small a room and can still dance holding their brass cups comfortably without harming each other.
The tiny 40 Thieves Club is a perfect place to meet new friends. It is impossible not to have friends after visiting this bar once or twice—at least you and the bartenders will get to know each other on a first-name basis. The most anticipated party of 40 Thieves Club is Boogie & Bourbon held on Fridays where you can get one free cocktail for every purchase. Interesting, isn’t it?

Bar 68

You won’t regret paying a visit to Bar 68 in Seminyak. A good selection of whiskey, excellent vibe, and curated songs are the reasons why people keep coming to the speakeasy bar.
Besides indoor barstools and comfy seats, Bar 68 also provides tables on the veranda where you can take a look at the passersby walking on the pedestrian of the crowded Seminyak. If you feel like playing a game, there’s a pool table where you can show your skill.

The BARber

The Sintesa Jimbaran has a bizarre sense of humour. It has a bar called The BARber which functions as a barbershop and a speakeasy bar simultaneously. At The BARber you can literally celebrate your newly shaved head by drinking your favourite liquor. The BARber provides a relaxing atmosphere. It is spacy and equipped with many comfy sofas where you can sit all day long with your friends or your beloved ones. Every Monday and Wednesday evenings you can enjoy live music performed by local bands.

So which speakeasy bars you want to go to first?
